ANALOGUE DRUMS Installation 

 

To install, unzip the download and copy the files onto a compatible USB flash drive - don't copy into a folder, the moog one can't access folders.

Then you should prepare your moog one by going to SETTINGS > MIDI I/O and make sure the load midi from preset option set to ON. This will enable you to use an external sequencer.

Also consider switching off the noise reduction system, to do this go to HARDWARE SETTINGS and scroll down to noise reduction, I have mine set to 0.0. which improves the impact of the drum's attack.

 

Insert your USB drive to load the patches, in SETTINGS go to LIBRARY and IMPORT > PRESETS.

Once loaded press HOME > BROWSE PRESETS. At the bottom right of the screen select MU SOUNDS from the GROUP list.

NOTE ON MIDI

When sequencing through midi, be aware that each 'synth' has it's own midi channel. And when receiving midi, the Moog One does not respect split keyboard setups. As a result drum sounds can be played throughout the entire keyboard when played from an external keyboard. Not a big deal if you know what's happening.

midi channel 1 = Kick1 and Snare1

midi channel 2 = Cymbal and Hi-Hat

midi channel 3 = Bass Toms

Kit 2

midi channel 4 = Kick2 and Clap

midi channel 5 = Cowbell and Harmonic Clave

midi channel 6 = Mini Pop Clave and Hand Pan

Kit 3

midi channel 7 = Kick3 and Snare2

midi channel 8 = Open Hat and Shaker

midi channel 9 = Tech Tom

​

Kit 4

midi channel 10 = Kick4 and Clap2

midi channel 11 = Cymbal2 and Closed Hat

midi channel 12 = Taiko and Noise Perc

​

BONUS KIT 1

midi channel 1 = Bonus Kick1 + Snare

midi channel 2 = Bonus Cymbal + Hi-Hat

midi channel 3 = Bonus Toms

BONUS KIT 2

midi channel 4 = Bonus Kick2 + Clap

midi channel 5 = Bonus Cowbell + Pulse

midi channel 6 = Bonus Conga + Clave
