User Guide:
All presets in the Analogue Strings collection use AfterTouch to control vibrato, some presets use this more subtly than others.
All presets except MU STR AMBIENT DRONE have Velocity mapped to Attack Time. This means the softer you play, the slower the sound fades in. For more consistent note-on timing, record your performance as MIDI and edit the velocity afterwards.
All presets use the Modwheel to change tone, some presets use this more subtly than others. Recording your performance as MIDI and editing the Modwheel data afterwards or recording a separate MIDI part just for the Modweel will make the tone more realistic and enhance the recording.
Note to 8 voice users
Half of the presets in this pack use all 3 synth engines, this means you will lose a voice if you play a triad. For the most part you won't notice this, but when it comes to recording you will want the full sound.
There are a number of ways to fix this problem.
One of the simplest is to record your performance to DAW as a MIDI sequence, change each synth engine to a unique MIDI channel then record the audio 3 times, with each pass playing a different synth engine. Sounds complicated, but it's quite simple.
To do this on the Moog One:
Make sure the preset you want to use is loaded
1) press SETTINGS, select MIDI I/O
2) select MIDI IN ROUTE as PER SYNTH
3) change the MIDI IN CHANNEL for each synth,
for example SYNTH 1 = Channel 1. SYNTH 2 = Channel 2. SYNTH 3 = Channel 3
Go back to your DAW and play your sequence on MIDI channel 1 while recording the audio. The Moog One will now only play 'SYNTH 1'
Do the same but change your sequence to play on MIDI channel 2, and then same again on MIDI channel 3.
This method will play the exact same midi sequence through each SYNTH engine separately giving you a virtual 24 voice Moog One!
